Peter Wooldridge was born in Krugersdorp on 27 October 1943. He matriculated from the Johannesburg School of Arts. In 1965 he obtained a degree in Fine Arts at the University of Witwatersrand where he was voted student of the year.
Peter participated in exhibitions in exclusive galleries like the Goodman Gallery and the Everard Reed Gallery in Johannesburg. Subsequently he followed a career as a Graphic designer, working for a number of top advertising agencies, doing corporate designing for many large Industrial and Commercial entities like Hewlett Packard and Rand Mines Limited.
Peter’s paintings have been proven popular with foreign buyers, and subsequently many have been sold to private collectors in the United States of America, Canada, Dubai, Australia, Egypt and the United Kingdom.
He recently started specialising in typical South African farmhouses which appeal to almost every viewer. The technique reminds of his years of graphic designing. Graphics, modern and traditional are successfully combined which results in absolute unique works of art.
