Este is a Hermanus based artist, who has become well-known for her very distinct style depicting woman in a dreamlike and romantic style.
Studying formally under Casper Steenkamp, Ben Botha and Prof A.A.F Treurlinckt at the University of the Free State, her career developed from her desire to express her creative abilities.
Este had her first solo exhibition in 1981, marking the beginning of many more exhibitions to come, including exhibitions in Taipei and USA.
In her search for an individual style and character she began experimenting with rice paper and mixed media.
Este exhibits at all the main festivals in South Africa, including the KKNK (Oudtshoorn), Aardklop (Potch) and Vrysfees (BFN).
