1935 – 2007
Adriaan Boshoff was born in 1935 in Pretoria. He was one of the greatest impressionists in South Africa.
He was self taught and at his happiest in his studio surrounded by paint and canvas.
His subject matter ranged from landscapes, seascapes and figurative, mostly in oils.
Making hundreds of sketches before embarking on a painting showed his dedications to perfection.
Boshoff perfected his art and became a master of color in his own right, developing the talent of creating 200 different colors by using only three basic colors.
Boshoff passed away in 2007.
